Hands down the best surgeon! Great bedside manner, very kind, gentle, and my results are incredible and naturalistic. I couldn’t ask for a better place to have gone to! From setting up my first consult, all the way to the post-op, everything has been done professionally and transparently. I never felt confused or uncertain. The staff is also friendly and so helpful!
Dr. Bared is great. He has the aesthetic eye to work with your goals and more importantly the surgical chops to deliver. I’d say you’re in good hands. Also the staff is great and the process is simple. Easy 5/5

Using the patient’s guidelines, the areas to be transplanted are marked out using a surgical marking pen. The markings are checked for symmetry between the two sides. Measurements are used to help ensure symmetry.
With beard transplantation, most patients opt for the FUE technique in order to avoid a linear scar. FUE has largely replaced the traditional “strip” donor extractions for beard transplantation. Regardless of the donor technique used, patients are made aware of the potential limitations of the donor hair quantity and therefore “size” and density of the beard which can be achieved through solely one procedure.
Patients are told to keep the face dry for the first 5 days after the procedure. Topical antibiotic ointment is applied to the donor area whether a strip or FUE technique was used. Patients are then to wet the face after 5 days with soap and water, starting to remove the dried blood and crusts. Shaving is permitted after 10 days. Hair regrowth usually starts around four to six months. The transplanted hair can be treated as any other facial hair and allowed to grow out or shaved.
Facial hair transplantation is available for transmasculine patients wishing to create a full beard, mustache, or goatee along with enhanced sideburns.
During your consultation with Dr. Bared you will share how you want to look after the procedure is complete.
Dr. Bared will then examine your natural hair growth patterns to determine the best way to place the new facial hair grafts to achieve the look you desire. He will also carefully select donor hairs that closely match the recipient site.
The smallest incisions possible will be used to prevent graft shifting during the healing process. This helps to ensure true angulation of the transplanted hair grafts and will give you the most natural-looking appearance.
It is recommended you wait at least 1 year after initiation of testosterone therapy before pursuing facial hair transplantation.
